Persistent Dangerous Heat Expected Across Western and Southern US Regions

The National Weather Service forecasts that intense and hazardous heat will continue across the Western, Southwestern, and Southern Plains areas of the United States through the end of the week. These conditions are also contributing to elevated or critical fire weather risks in the Great Basin and Four Corners region. Residents are advised to take precautions against the extreme temperatures.
