France Issues Widespread Red Heatwave Alerts Amid Record Temperatures

Météo-France has placed 72 departments under red heatwave alerts and 17 others under orange warnings as an intense heatwave continues across much of the country. Temperatures are widely expected to exceed 30°C, with some areas potentially reaching 40°C.
