Western US Faces Critical Fire Weather Amid Ongoing Wildfires

The National Interagency Fire Center reports a Preparedness Level 3 as 36 large wildfires continue to burn across the US. Extremely critical fire weather conditions are developing in the Western US, particularly in southern Nevada, northwestern Arizona, and Utah, with low humidity and strong winds. These conditions are expected to fuel rapid fire growth and new ignitions, exacerbating an already active fire season that has surpassed recent years in acres burned.
