Germany Faces Extreme Heat and Severe Thunderstorm Risk

A widespread, intense heatwave continues across Germany, with strong to extreme heat stress affecting nearly all parts of the country. Heat warnings of Level 1 and Level 2 are in effect for various regions for Sunday, June 28, and Monday, June 29. Additionally, severe thunderstorms with potential for heavy rainfall, severe gales, and hail are expected, particularly in the north this morning, and then shifting eastward with renewed severe weather risk overnight into Monday morning.
