U.S. Forecasts Dangerous Heat, Severe Storms, and Fire Weather

The National Weather Service anticipates a week of intensifying, potentially record-breaking heat across much of the central and eastern United States, with heat indices expected to exceed 100 degrees. Concurrently, severe thunderstorms are predicted for parts of the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast, and central High Plains. Additionally, critical fire weather conditions are expected to persist in the Four Corners and Great Basin regions.
