Severe Thunderstorm and Flash Flood Threat for Minnesota and Iowa

Parts of eastern South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, and northwest Iowa are under an Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms through Thursday, July 2, 2026, with damaging wind gusts and large hail expected. Flash flood warnings are in effect for parts of Fillmore and Houston counties in Minnesota, leading to the closure of I-90. Additional heavy rain and severe storms are possible through Friday.
