Southern France Faces Red Wildfire Alerts and Orange Heatwave Warnings

Météo-France has escalated wildfire alerts to red for seven departments in southern France due to a new significant fire and high risk of spread. Concurrently, 21 departments are under orange alert for an intense heatwave, with temperatures expected to reach 35-40°C. The extreme heat is projected to intensify and expand northward, exacerbating wildfire conditions.
