Slight Risk of Severe Thunderstorms for Central Plains and Upper Midwest on July 8

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for parts of the Central Plains and Upper Midwest for Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Clusters of strong thunderstorms with potential for severe hail and wind may develop across the Upper Midwest into the central Great Plains through Wednesday night. Damaging wind gusts and isolated marginal hail are the primary threats.
