Typhoon Bavi Intensifies, Threatens Okinawa, Taiwan, and Eastern China with Extreme Winds and Rain

Typhoon Bavi is moving westward with sustained winds of 180 km/h and gusts up to 252 km/h, expected to approach Okinawa Prefecture between Friday and Saturday. Heatstroke warnings are also in effect for four prefectures on Kyushu Island. Taiwan and China are bracing for Bavi, which is forecast to be a highly destructive storm, potentially making landfall on China's eastern coast Saturday night.
