The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) forecasts a 'Slight Risk' of severe thunderstorms for July 10, 2026, across portions of the southern and central High Plains, and from the Ozarks into the Mid Mississippi Valley, with potential for severe wind gusts and isolated large hail. Additionally, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued Flood Watches for southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois (July 9-10), western Kentucky (July 9-11), and Knoxville, TN (July 10-12), due to multiple rounds of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.
