SPC Issues Enhanced Risk for Severe Thunderstorms in Northern New York and New England

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe thunderstorms across parts of northern New York and northern New England for Tuesday, July 14, 2026. These storms are expected to produce widespread damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes, with the possibility of one or two strong tornadoes.
