France Downgrades Heat Alert but Sustains Heatwave, Issues New Storm Warnings
Météo-France has lowered the heat alert for Paris and Île-de-France from red to orange, effective July 15, though high temperatures between 31 and 35°C persist. Sixty-nine departments in central and southern France remain under an orange heatwave alert. Strong storms are anticipated, with 11 heightened storm warnings issued for eastern and southeastern departments. A yellow storm alert is also in effect for Île-de-France for Thursday, July 16.
