Catastrophic Flash Flooding and Storms Impact South-Central Texas
The National Weather Service warns of catastrophic flash flooding and ongoing storms in parts of Texas, particularly west of San Antonio and Uvalde County. Pockets of 10 to 20 inches of rainfall are possible, leading to life-threatening conditions. A Flood Watch remains in effect for the Edwards Plateau, Rio Grande Plains, and the I-35 corridor until Thursday, July 16, and a Flood Warning is active for the Nueces River at Laguna until the morning of July 15. Travel is not recommended in affected areas.
