The Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) has issued warnings for widespread strong thunderstorms across Germany on Friday, July 17, with the potential for hail, strong winds, and heavy rainfall, expecting massive damage in some areas. An official warning for strong thunderstorms was specifically issued for Halle (Saale) from 15:30 to 16:30 on July 17, with risks including lightning, falling trees, hail, and localized street flooding. Earlier, on July 16, DWD also alerted for potential thunderstorms and severe weather over Berlin and Brandenburg.
