Flooding Threat Continues in Texas; Severe Thunderstorm Outlook for Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast

Widespread life-threatening flash and urban flooding continues in south-central Texas, with considerable flooding impacts possible across central Texas. Meanwhile, severe thunderstorms are expected across portions of the Ohio Valley, Lower Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast this afternoon and evening, with damaging wind gusts as the primary threat and a few tornadoes possible. A Heat Advisory is also in effect for Washington, D.C., until 7 PM EDT.
