France Issues Wildfire and Heatwave Alerts Across Several Regions

French authorities have placed 27 departments under a high wildfire risk due to hot and dry conditions, with six southern regions also experiencing an orange heatwave alert. An ongoing fire in the Var region has already impacted nearly 200 hectares and necessitated the evacuation of approximately 150 individuals. The wildfire threat is projected to intensify on Tuesday as strong mistral winds are anticipated in southeastern France.
