US Wildfire Preparedness Reaches Highest Level Amidst 74 Active Blazes

The National Interagency Fire Center has elevated the US wildfire preparedness level to its maximum, Level 5, indicating extensive fire activity nationwide. Currently, 74 large fires are burning across the country, with over 19,000 firefighters deployed. This year, more than 3.9 million acres have already been consumed by fires, with the Northwest and northern Minnesota areas requiring significant resources.
