Flash Floods in Northeastern Afghanistan Kill 20, Leave 100 Missing

Northeastern Afghanistan has been hit by devastating flash floods, resulting in at least 20 fatalities and approximately 100 people reported missing. The capital of Nuristan province, Parun, sustained the most damage, with 80 individuals also injured. Search and rescue operations have been launched by the Taliban-run government's National Disaster Management Authority to locate the missing and aid those affected.
