Japan Issues Extreme Heat Warning with Temperatures Soaring to 40°C

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued an extreme heat warning across wide areas of Japan, from the northeastern Tohoku region to southwestern Kyushu. Temperatures are forecast to reach dangerous levels, with some inland areas, such as Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, expected to hit 40°C. Heatstroke warnings are in effect for 42 out of the country's 47 prefectures, urging the public to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
