Tropical Storm Bertha Prompts Warnings Along US Gulf Coast

Tropical Storm Bertha is currently in the Gulf of Mexico, moving northwest towards the US Gulf Coast with sustained winds of 60 mph. Warnings and watches are in place for parts of Florida and Louisiana, including the New Orleans metropolitan area. The storm is expected to bring 2 to 4 inches of rain, with isolated higher amounts, along with storm surge and dangerous surf conditions. Bertha is forecast to maintain its strength today before gradually weakening.
