Météo-France Lowers Heat Alert for Southern Mediterranean Regions
French meteorological services have reduced the heat alert status to a yellow level for departments along the Mediterranean coast. Despite this downgrade, temperatures are expected to remain very high in the extreme south, with daytime highs reaching 34-37°C. Persistent dry winds are also contributing to a high to extreme risk of wildfires, particularly in the Rhône Valley, despite the slight temperature decrease.
