Tropical Storm Bertha Moves Across Louisiana, Warnings Expand Westward

Tropical Storm Bertha is currently tracking westward over southeastern Louisiana, maintaining maximum sustained winds near 45 mph (75 km/h). Tropical Storm Warnings have been extended further west into parts of southwestern Louisiana. The storm is projected to retain tropical storm intensity until it reaches the upper Texas coast on Thursday, before dissipating inland over Texas by Friday. Additionally, dangerous heat is expected to spread from the Gulf Coast into the Southern Plains.
