Major Hurricane Genevieve, a Category 4 storm with 150 mph winds, is moving northwestward in the Eastern Pacific, 505 miles south-southwest of Baja California. Although no coastal watches are in effect, the storm is generating life-threatening surf and rip currents along Mexico's southwestern coast and the Baja California Peninsula, with weakening expected.
