Northeast US Faces Moderate Risk of Life-Threatening Flash Flooding

The Weather Prediction Center has issued a Moderate Risk of excessive rainfall for parts of the northeastern United States, including eastern New York, western Massachusetts, southern Vermont, and adjacent Connecticut. Repeated heavy rainfall is forecast, with rates of 25 to 50 mm per hour, potentially leading to significant and life-threatening flash flooding in these areas.
