Japan faces dangerous heatwave with heatstroke alerts issued for 14 prefectures, while two tropical disturbances brew.

Heatstroke alerts have been issued for 14 prefectures across western Japan, including Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and Kumamoto, with temperatures forecast to reach up to 38°C (100°F) in some cities. Nighttime temperatures are also expected to remain above 25°C, increasing health risks. Simultaneously, two developing tropical disturbances south of Japan have been observed, with one, Typhoon No. 13 (Dolphin), undergoing rapid intensification and projected to pass directly through the Ogasawara Island chain on July 31st.
