As of 12:45 PM on August 1, 2026, the typhoon was located near Minami-Tori-shima, moving west-north-west. Forecasters anticipate the typhoon will approach Okinawa and the Amami island chain from August 6th onwards, bringing storm-force winds, heavy rainfall, and rough seas.
