Environment Canada Issues Special Weather Statement and Rainfall Warnings for Southern Ontario

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms expected in the Greater Toronto Area and rainfall warnings for other parts of Ontario, beginning late Saturday, August 1st, and continuing through Sunday evening. Localized rainfall amounts could exceed 50 millimetres, potentially leading to pooling water on roads and reduced visibility.
