Heavy Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Across Southern Ontario and Quebec, Canada

Environment Canada has issued special weather statements and yellow-level rainfall warnings for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA), Windsor-Essex, Ottawa, and Montreal. Periods of rain and embedded thunderstorms are expected, with localized heavy rainfall of 40 to 100 mm possible, leading to potential water pooling on roads and localized flash flooding. Severe thunderstorms are also warned for the Montreal area. These conditions are expected through Sunday evening, August 2, 2026.
