Met Office Issues Amber Heat Health Alert for Four UK Regions as Temperatures Soar to 35°C

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued amber heat-health alerts for London, the East Midlands, East of England, and the South East, effective from 9 AM on August 3rd until 9 AM on August 5th. Temperatures are forecast to reach up to 35°C in the South East, with widespread highs in the upper 20s to low 30s across central and southern England. This extreme heat is expected to place additional strain on health and social care services, posing serious risks, especially for vulnerable individuals.
