Météo-France has placed 20 departments in eastern and southeastern France under orange heatwave alerts, with temperatures potentially reaching 35C to 39C on Monday, August 3, 2026. Additionally, seven departments in southern France are under orange alerts for storm conditions, with hail up to 5cm in diameter possible.
