Environment Canada Issues Rainfall Warning for Southern Niagara Region, Localized Flooding Expected

Environment Canada has issued an Orange Warning - Rainfall for Niagara Falls, Welland, and the Southern Niagara Region. As of August 3, 2026, local rainfall amounts have already exceeded 100 mm, including 107 mm at Port Weller. An additional 25 mm of rain is expected this evening, which is likely to cause localized flooding and make some roads impassable. Residents are advised not to drive through flooded roadways.
