Minor to Moderate Flood Warning Issued for Hawkesbury and Nepean Rivers in Australia

The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) has issued an Initial Minor to Moderate Flood Warning for the Hawkesbury and Nepean Rivers at Menangle Bridge, Penrith, North Richmond, and Windsor. Moderate flooding is possible from overnight Thursday (August 6, 2026) onwards. Moderate rainfall totals up to 53 mm were observed across the Hawkesbury Nepean Valley in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Thursday, with further heavy rainfall forecast for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
