Firefighters are actively engaged in suppression efforts on the Bench and Round Butte Fires in Central Oregon. The Bench Fire is 67,071 acres with 84% containment, and the Round Butte Fire is 1,163 acres with 90% containment. Both fires are exhibiting minimal-to-moderate behavior within containment lines. However, a Red Flag Warning is likely this weekend due to forecasted near-record high temperatures (up to 94°F) and low humidities (12%). Some Jefferson County areas remain under Level One or Level Two evacuation status.
