A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Monmouth, Fairfield, Putnam, and Westchester counties until 9:45 p.m. EDT (01:45 UTC August 8th). Additionally, a severe thunderstorm watch is active for all of New Jersey, New York City, parts of its northern suburbs, and Nassau County through 9 p.m. EDT (01:00 UTC August 8th). These conditions are attributed to an airmass from the tropics, bringing heavy rainfall and potential damaging winds.
