Thunderstorm Warnings Issued for Parts of Southern France Amidst Continuing Heatwave

Météo-France has issued Yellow Warnings for Thunderstorms in Paris, effective from Sunday, August 9. Thunderstorms are also forecast to spread across parts of southern France this weekend, particularly over the Pyrenees and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, bringing heavy rainfall, hail, frequent lightning, and strong wind gusts of up to 80-100 km/h. This comes as an exceptionally long period of heat continues across much of the country.
