US Severe Thunderstorm Risk in Midwest, Heat Advisory in Kansas

A Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms is forecast for Sunday, August 9th, over central South Dakota and from eastern Iowa into northern Indiana, with potential for damaging winds and hail. Separately, a Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of Kansas until 8 PM CDT on August 9th, warning of hot temperatures and high humidity.
