Météo-France Issues Orange Heatwave Alert for 22 Departments

Météo-France has placed 22 departments in central and southeast France under an orange "canicule" (heatwave) alert for Monday, August 10, 2026. This new heatwave episode is expected to extend to many regions of France, with temperatures forecast to exceed 30°C across most of the country, and 34-38°C widely in the south, potentially reaching 39-40°C locally in the Gard.
