South Africa Issues Warnings for Flooding and Widespread Snowfall from August 9-11

Multiple warnings have been issued by the South African weather service for significant flooding and widespread disruptive snowfall expected across parts of the country from August 9 to 11, 2026. Heavy showers have already begun along the southern coastline, with more than 100 millimeters of rain expected in some regions. Mountain passes are likely to close due to snow.
