Numerous Flood Warnings Issued for Southeast Australia Following Extremely Heavy Rainfall and Damaging Winds
Extremely heavy rain has fallen across parts of Victoria, South Australia, southern New South Wales, and the ACT, with numerous flood warnings in place. At least 13 locations in Victoria received over 100 mm of rainfall in 24 hours. Moderate flood warnings are active for the Kiewa, King, and Ovens rivers in Victoria. The strong weather system also produced extremely strong wind gusts, including 130 km/h at Thredbo Top Station.
