Tropical Storm Chan-hom, the season's 15th named storm, is expected to make landfall in Japan's northern Kanto region (Ibaraki and Fukushima prefectures) from late Tuesday through early Wednesday. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) forecasts strong winds with gusts up to 108 km/h and heavy rain up to 40 mm/hour, and is highly likely to issue warnings for heavy rain, strong winds, and landslides in Fukushima Prefecture. All Nippon Airways has flagged potential impacts on flights at Haneda, Narita, Fukushima, and Sendai airports for August 11.
