NHC Reports High Chance of Tropical Depression Formation in Central Atlantic

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has initiated advisories on Tropical Storm Cristobal and is closely monitoring Invest AL92 in the central tropical Atlantic, located about 900 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Environmental conditions are highly conducive for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days as the system moves westward to west-northwestward. The NHC gives AL92 an 80% chance of formation within the next seven days.
