Tropical Depression Hernan has strengthened into Tropical Storm Hernan in the East Pacific. As of 2 AM PDT (0900 UTC) on Thursday, August 13, 2026, its center was located about 1460 miles west of the Southern Tip of Baja California, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph (65 km/h). Slight strengthening is possible through tonight, followed by expected weakening by Friday. There are no coastal watches or warnings currently in effect.
