Tropical Storm Iselle continues to strengthen in Eastern Pacific, forecast to become a hurricane

Tropical Storm Iselle is moving northwestward well offshore of Mexico. As of 0300 UTC Monday, August 24, 2026, it has maximum sustained winds of 45 knots (50 mph) with gusts up to 55 knots (65 mph). The National Hurricane Center forecasts Iselle to intensify into a hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 65 knots (75 mph) by Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026.
