Heatstroke Alert issued for 31 prefectures across Japan with daytime highs up to 39°C

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued a heatstroke alert for 31 prefectures across Japan, stretching from the Kanto region (including Tokyo and Chiba) to Okinawa. Sweltering weather is expected due to a high-pressure system, with forecast daytime highs reaching 39 degrees Celsius in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, and 38 degrees Celsius in cities such as Saga, Yamaguchi, and Nara.
