The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has issued a heatstroke alert for 31 prefectures across Japan, from Kanto to Okinawa, as sweltering weather is expected due to a high-pressure system. Daytime highs are forecast to reach up to 39 degrees Celsius in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, and 38 degrees Celsius in cities including Saga, Yamaguchi, and Nara.
