Tropical Storm Iselle Approaches Hurricane Strength, Posing Surf and Rip Current Dangers

Tropical Storm Iselle in the Eastern Pacific is currently maintaining sustained winds near 70 mph, just below hurricane strength. The storm is projected to briefly intensify into a hurricane before gradually weakening. Iselle is generating life-threatening swells that are impacting the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula, creating hazardous surf and rip current conditions for coastal areas.
