Met Office Issues Thunderstorm Warning for Large Parts of UK with Flood and Power Cut Risks

The UK Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across swathes of England and Wales, effective Wednesday, August 26. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to develop across southern UK on Tuesday, August 25, and spread northward through the week, with risks of flooding, lightning strikes, and power cuts. Unsettled conditions with above-average rainfall are forecast to continue into early September.
