Dangerous record-breaking heat, with heat indices up to 112 degrees, continues across the south-central U.S., including parts of Louisiana, Oklahoma, and North Texas. The National Weather Service warns of potential damaging downburst wind gusts from thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening. An Air Quality Alert has also been issued for the Oklahoma City metro area.
