Typhoon Saudel Nears Southern Japan and Northern Taiwan, Bringing Heavy Rain and Destructive Gusts

Medium-strength Typhoon Saudel is moving towards southern Japan and northern Taiwan, where it is expected to bring sporadic heavy rain. Japan's weather agency has warned of destructive gusts as the typhoon approaches the southwestern islands of Okinawa prefecture, also causing extremely strong winds and high seas.
