Texas Wildfire Expands, Destroys Structures, Prompts Evacuations

The Ross Fire in north central Texas has rapidly grown to over 78 square miles, destroying at least five structures, including buildings at a youth camp. Fueled by strong winds and hot, dry conditions, the wildfire has necessitated evacuations and school closures. With the fire only slightly contained and critical fire weather expected, its continued growth poses significant threats to property and residents.
